I don't know if Royce Clayton has ever been a #2 hitter in his entire life...

That is one strange move. We'll see how it works.

I like the lineup. Probably would rather have EE hit 2nd than Clayton, but meh-- probably a good idea to sit Denorfia vs a tough pitcher like Capuano. He could use a day off today anyway. Good guy to bring off the bench on an off day.

I like the line-up as well. Speed at the top and bottom with power filtered in the middle. Nice to see EE back in there because he has really been on a offensive tear the last 5-6 games.

Rain delay in Cincy... How does 108 degrees grab ya??

That's what it is here in Portland, OR right now. With the rain delay, I'm hoping to listen to some late night baseball in my A/C house. Good thing the wife talked me into getting central air a couple years ago (most people out here don't have A/C).

Although a rainout and skipping Mays tomorrow wouldn't break my heart.

OK which one of you PDX posters just called the banana phone (and asked about trading Dunn)?

Looking at the schedule this is Milwaukee's last trip in this year. So you would think if this is rained out the Reds would probably play a DH tomorrow. Probably a day-night DH.

say what? He'd still be a starting pitcher in the middle of a pennant race, whether they tell him he's the number 1 pitcher or number 5 pitcher. At the start of the season, the slot is more important because number 1's tend to pitch against each other more often.
