wheres ee

Sure starting to look like EE is being platooned with Hatteburg with Aurilia shuttled between 1st and 3rd depending on whether EE or Hatte is starting.

I suppose Narron would see this as putting his best defense on the field but the last I knew the only defense against home runs was to score more runs than the other team which I would think should apply With Milton starting. So I guess maybe Narron also thinks this combo will score more runs against the Brewers starter than if EE were in the lineup.

We have a chance to bury a couple of Wild Card contenders (Brewers, Astros) over the next week, so it really starts today! Especially if the Reds win and the Astros lose!

I don't know if its too early to do so, but I already consider the Brewers buried in the Wildcard race. It's just too competitive, and I don't see them posting a better record than us between now and season's end.

Fair enough cincy09, I have been in the same situation. If they are not going to come down from the mountain to hook into our gamethreads then we have to do it ourselves. Milton is doing some stepping up. We need the offense to do the same.

Some power hitters don't like it I've heard. But my view is that if you are focused on the pitch, then you don't see the runner.

jimbo, I agree. People here bash, but Bowden is gone. When Marty has to discuss him I agree he has the green light to editorialize, but Marty goes out of his way to keep a petty feud going by inventing ways to get at him. Marty is great but can get a little sanctimonious. That is why I put in the Hall of Fame comment. He used it(Hall of Fame) the other night when fans were e-mailing about him feeling sorry for himself for possibly having to do a double header if the games were called. Kind of a don't you know who I am moment. He just mentioned that he went too far last night on the broadcast. I love Marty, Joe, and I'm getting to love Steve. Just feel like they are above these petty feuds.

There was a dustup about Marty's support for the games going on this past week rather than being cancelled and not wanting to call doubleheaders. Marty got slapped by fans for coming of a bit arrogant and then responded last night with more arrogance. Marty has always been arrogant. I think it part of what what makes him great, but he crossed over the line a little the past couple days.

I agree, but what is up with Majewski?

He's stunk since he's come here, but he's only been here what? A week and a half? A lot of it may just be nerves. Kearns and Lopez have both been pretty medicocre since they've arrived at Washington. Sometimes, it takes a player a little while to get comfortable, especially a young player. I'm sure Majewski is pressing a little because he wants to show his new team that he is worth what they gave up. I'm not too worried about him, his numbers show that he will get the job done.

I agree. I addressed it not long after I said it. It has got to be tough for him being traded for two fan favorites.

I feel sorry for him. He is yacking all over himself with the pressure of being part of that trade. I just hope he gets over it now. He has a nice live arm. As RA hits into a Casey.

To be fair, Narron shouldn't have let Milton pitch to Hall. Probably wouldn't have made a difference, but the situation would have been a little less pressure-packed for Majewski.

Wish Narron would let Majewski work in a few non-pressure (or lower pressure) situations to try to get his confidence back.

Nice rebound in the 8th by Maj. I know everybody is freakin' out on him already, but it's way too early to bail on him. Nobody jumps on Coffey when he goes through a week long stretch like that.
