Reds bullpen ERA from June to July has dropped from over 6 to a little over 3. The trade really has payed dividends.
Coffey with the big K on Burke, 1 out!

Is there like all righties up this inning. Thats the only thing I can think of.
Edit that: Huff is up.

Coffey has not given up a run POST All-Star break. I like our infield defense to start the 9th. (Fingers crossed)
Yeah, because he was back in his natural set up role. I bet if you put him as closer again, he chokes. Maybe not this game, but he will. HE IS NOT A CLOSER. Eddie has done great for us this year, I don't understand this.
Though he is looking good right now, nice k. haha

Maybe Coffey's being showcased for the Ian Kinsler trade with Texas ;)

Huff pops up to Phillips, two outs!

Anyone see how high Huff threw his bat in a fit of frustration after that pop-up? :D

Damn, Basehit Preston Wilson

Weak single... why is Coffey still in there?
ThornWithin81
07-25-2006, 10:50 PM
Why.
Why isn't Eddie in this game.
wojo1025
07-25-2006, 10:50 PM
This is what I expected. Guess Narron slept through the times that Coffey tried to close
kevinc12345

Scott singles up the middle.
Coffey should be pulled.

Now you go to the bullpen? Give me a break
This guy might be worse then Tony LaRussa
RedEye
07-25-2006, 10:51 PM
Oh no... Orlando Palmeiro. I have to watch that guy ground out EVERY TIME I log into MLB. How about another one of those for real this time, buddy?
wojo1025
07-25-2006, 10:51 PM
Now with the winning run at the plate you bring in the guy that gives up homers, don't bring him in with nobody on and up 2, bring him in when he can lose it with 1 pitch, nice job. How are we still leading the wild card with such a horrid manager?
kevinc12345

What a terrible 9th inning. Harang threw 2 INNINGS HIS LAST OUTING AND WAS HITTING 93 ON THE RADAR GUN IN THE 8TH INNING.
Seriously, how terrible is Narron? That extension looks awful

Bray is sweet, but come on. Did Eddie offend Narron's wife or something? Seriously......Narron.

Especially when he's flawless as a Red.

We win despite horrible managing. WHERE WAS EDDIE? He's been lightsout since coming to Cincy. We had an off day yesterday so he's rested. This inning makes absolutely no sense.
Anyone think Roger is glad he came back?

So Narron sends Coffey out in the 9th inning to face 2 lefties during the inning. Narron needs major help deciding how to run the bullpen ASAP.

It's a moot point, but the positive thing I took from the 9th inning was the composure we saw from Bray. He shouldn't have been put in that situation, but he came in ready to go and I was just happy to see some command. Coffey always looks at batters like they used to steal his lunch money at school; completely intimidated.

Great win. I just hate watching games on FSN Houston. FSN Ohio was blacked out here so I had to watch on Houston and listen to those guys make fun of Dunn. They were calling him Will Ferrel and "Anchorman and Taladega Nights."

Who ever wins this first game could set a tone for the series. This is big. It would be nice to get some space between us and Houston.

Great game from Harang and BP. Boo to Clayton for making Clemens' night easier. Now let's finally give Bronson some runs so he can get that flippin' 10th win already!
