From Hal's DDN column:

Ross will start

Not only will catcher David Ross return from injury rehab tonight, he will be in the starting lineup catching Bronson Arroyo. "Even though Arroyo was pretty good his last start with Jason LaRue catching (eight innings against the Mets, two runs, six hits, no walks, eight strikeouts, no decision)," Narron said.

Ross was 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs for Class AA Chattanooga on Monday in a 6-2 win over West Tennessee, catching six innings. He also threw out one of two base stealers.

Outfielder DeWayne Wise is likely to be optioned back to Louisville, although the team could go with 11 pitchers because of an off-day Monday, "But we only have two off days in August, and we'll need 12 pitchers," Narron said.

13 position players, three of whom are catchers. Oy.

add one more horse of a starter, and you need only 10 pitchers, 11 tops. A single pitcher would fix three roster spots.
