Not my favorite lineup, but it's got potential for some runs against Pettite. It should only take one, much like last night ;)

Are we (red zoners) the only ones to question Narrons line-ups? Where are the beat writers in this discussion? I don't question the starting 8, he knows more than us, like who is under the weather, etc. I question the batting order.

Deadline is Monday....they could trade a catcher tomorrow, and then trade for a pitcher Sunday or Monday, if that's what they have to do...

Who knows! Should be a fun week.

Went on contact...the ball beat him to home, not that close. Bad base running with top of the order up.

Again it looked "Here to there" at 1st glance, but it was "bang-bang" because of a high tag by Ausmus. Just barely nipped him by the replay!

Note to Phillips: You ONLY go home if the ball is hit to the Right side of the infield.

When the infield is playing in it doesn't matter which side you hit it to.

Freel's ground ball wouldn't have been a hit if Berkman wasn't holding Arroyo at first so Phillip's play didn't cost the Reds a run.

It was a bang bang play at home. He was out but I think it was a good decision.

On a slow dribbler like that, and the way BP has been reading the pitch, I don't fault him one bit for that try. Not one bit. I applaud him.

And in that situation, all Berry should/could do is remind him of his options and to be alert.

Arroyo came into the 4th inning having thrown 51 pitches. His offspeed stuff has quite a bit of movement tonight, especially in the third inning and the Huff strikeout.

Pettitte has thrown 64 pitches after four innings.

No it was definitely close, because of the high tag (in BP's left armpit). A split nano-second ltr BP's fingertips touch the plate. Out but I thought it was an ok play, just gotta space those things out. He had tried to go to the well one too many times.

I don't know how many of you are catching this on Extra Innings (Houston), but their announcers are not bad.

They mentioned that EE had issues with his throws, but is young and is working to correct it. Added that he had a ".900 OPS" (not many announcers use this stat) and lumped him in with the good crop of young 3rd basemen...Wright, Zimmerman, Tracy.

But they also said the Reds may shift him to 1st base. That's something I hadn't heard before.
