If I was Deno, I'd bring those post-trade articles into Krivsky's office and say: "It's my time? I'm ready? Did you tell this to Jerry?"

Since the trade (7/13), Deno has gotten 25 ABs. 4 ABs since July 21st.

Note to young players: Do not, I repeat, DO NOT make an error with the big club. I wonder what would happen if Homer got called up and muffed a bunt in his 1st inning. He might be banished to mop up duty for 5 years.

I hope Clayton commits an error, then Phillips with superman speed runs over and pick up the ball and throws the runner out..Narron immediately declares Phillips the new SS and Rich heads to 2nd with EE to 3rd..a big hug on the pitchers mound and then they continue to play

Personally, I'm done complaining about the lineup construction and going to enjoy the games/pennant race.

That being said, first thing that jumps out at me is that the Dodgers have quite a bit of speed. Anyone know Ross's % at throwing out would-be basestealers?

Let's get it out of the way early:

Narron sucks. He's clueless. His 30 years in baseball have taught him absolutely nothing about the game.

Encarnacion should be starting over Aurilia. Aurilia sucks. If Encarnacion got to play more often, he would make David Wright look like Wade Rowden.

Royce Clayton should be released. Brandon Phillips should be playing shortstop. Clayton is the worst player in baseball.

Am I missing anything?

Well I have a old computer and have to use dialup. I have not been able to work in a couple years due to medical reasons and am waiting to see when I can get disability or get cleared to go back to work. It is easier trying to use one site at a time with this computer or it freezes and locks up alot. Plus it is more interesting to get the viewpoints and reactions to how the game is from Redszone. The free sites when they do work are way behind.

The irony with the Reds is as follows:

On the one hand, you have Krivsky, who no one could ever call risk-averse. The guy is constantly trying to improve the team, always trying to make the move. This leads to occasional flubs, but demonstrates a verve that was totally absent during the O'Brien years.

Then you have Narron, who hates taking risks. Everything with him is the known quantity. Even if the known quantity is demonstrably worse than the uncertain alternative, Jerry is going to stick with the known quantity rather than face the unknown.

It really is a completely bifurcated organizational dynamic, and I wonder after a while whether Krivsky is going to get tired of it.

Even if the known quantity is demonstrably worse than the uncertain alternative, Jerry is going to stick with the known quantity rather than face the unknown.

How can the known quantity be demonstrably worse than something that is uncertain? By definition, if something is unknown, you can't really judge it's value.

I think I can agree with the fact that Narron accepts the mediocre rather the rolling the dice yo try to get something better.
