Who is it? (if it's "other".....specify)

A good question, and not an easy answer, Matt. There were a couple of "others" who I had to consider.
Oh, and Matt, expect a very angry call from Jerry for not even putting Rich on the ballot. Sheesh

Adam Dunn.

He leads the team in almost every statistic category, and is among the top 10 leaders in the NL in the following categories: runs scored, walks, RBI, home runs, slugging, OPS, RC/27, and runs created. He is 32nd among all major leaguers in VORP.

Brandon Phillips comes in second.

I'm splitting my vote between Harang and Arroyo. Where would the Reds be without the two of them?

Can't include them all.....have to make you think. :)

Harang or Arroyo. Take your pick.

I'd pick Harang over Arroyo at this point.

However, both have been keys to this teams success.

Each player has definitely made huge contributions in their own way. Freel provides energy for the team, either with his speed, showing a little pop in his bat at times, or running through walls to make a great play on defense.
When BP is going good, he's GREAT. He looks like he'll be a future gold glover with some of his flashy plays at second. And he's carried the offense through a few games.
From a statistical standpoint, Dunn is probably the leading candidate just because he puts up such huge numbers offensively.
A player like Hatte has been extremely valuable this year too(and at a value of a price).
Harang has made a strong case with his pitching.
But sheerly from a numbers standpoint, I have to go with Dunn.

Harang, so steady.

I should have added a 5th option....(or a 4th option :))

I will go with Aaron Harang. Adam Dunn is a VERY close 2nd, and the rest of the season can still sway one way or the other.

I went with Phillips...but that's just because I love me some Brandon Phillips. :D

Dunn is the choice over Harang for me, due to his everydayness.

Harang, in terms of most value in the playoff chase.

Although Dunn might be by the end of the season, if he can carry the offense all year.

Aaron Harang

I have to give the very slight edge to harang. Although if dunn keeps hitting like he is he will be the mvp. Why does harang get no attention. If he keeps it up hes going to have Cy young numbers at the end of the year, and no one in the national media is going to even know his name.

I would've said Hatteberg. He had the highest batting average on the team in the month of July. Yes, even higher than Adam Dunn. I honestly don't think that Scott Hatteberg gets enough credit. Harang got my vote however. He is having a career season this year.

I have to go with Aaron Harang. Good pitching has been so rare in these parts for so long.

Tough choice between he and Dunn IMO.

Its got to be Dunn. Phillips was great early on but has cooled off as of late. There was also a period of time where Griffey was the man. Griffey could still finish strong for MVP, but if it all ended today its got to be Dunn.
