I like Narron's thinking of putting in Rich at 2nd, ONLY when Milton is pitching. Atleast I hope that is his thought. Not enough grounders to just worry about D.

0-4 with 2 errors last night.

Can't really blame Narron for sitting him.

Ross catching Milton, I like it. After Javy and EZ's performance last night I dont think Narron will be double switching with Ross and Valentin anymore.

I'm not worried about either. He has shown to be a somewhat streaky hitter and his defense has not shown any bad patterns. He is still the overall soundest defensive infielder on the team.

Flip flop Dunn and Hat

Why???

KronoRed
08-08-2006, 04:08 PM
Why???
Because Dunn did well in the 2 spot and it would help him get back on track

The Hat does his thing no matter where he bats.

It sure is a good idea that we got Valentin out of the lineup. According to Chris Welsh last night his homerun was a rally killer. We can't players killing rallies like that.

It sucks though bc im starting to think Jr's slump was brought on with Dunn batting in front of him. If Jr could just keep hitting with Dunn in front of him this offense would be deadly.

Hi, my name’s Eric Milton, and I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that I don’t feel I’ve gotten the credit I deserve as the Patron Saint of Overpaid Fourth Starters everywhere. Even though I continue to go tragically unappreciated on Redszone, at least fans of other teams appreciate me.

You should see all the thank you notes. (I get more mail than Junior).

P.S. By the way, don’t look now, but I’m third on the team in wins and closing in fast on #2.

That’s right—lookout, Mr. I Wanna Be a Rock Star—I got your number! ;)

Aurilia really needs to be at short with BP at 2nd.

If we're forced to have Aurilia's range (or lack thereof) in the middle infield, I'd rather it be at 2B.

Nice line-up. Would rather see Phillips at SS but have given up on that for this year. And while i might be treading on blasphemy here I am starting to not completely hate Clayton. Still miles away from liking him starting over EE, Aurilla, Castro, or Hatte on any given day but still moving to a place to where I have some faith in him not to completely screw up the entire game. Also I doubt Dunn sees anything in the same zip code of the strike zone with Aurilla behind him. Hopefully we pull this out and stand even for the series with our #1 and #2 going the last two days. Go get em guys!!:beerme:

LetsGoReds11

Much rather see Phillips at shortstop, but that doesn't look like that will happen until the offseason. The lineup should still be pretty effective. Even if the lineup is effective lets see how much pitching we can get from Milton though.

I hope we are the one's coming out scoring alot of runs tonight against the cards instead of them, Marquis usually has a bad inning and if he does we need to take advantage tonight because I dont wanna be late in ballgame with this team cause its been having hard times to come back lately.

Can't really blame Narron for sitting him.

I have to admit, I do like that about Narron. When you are in the MAJORS, you do not make multiple errors. Sit him and we have a very good pinch hitter off the bench or a good DOUBLE SWITCH situation.

The bad thing about facing Marquis is that it adds a good hitter in the 9th spot. I saw him used as a pinch-hitter a few weeks ago and he roped a double down the line.

True, but going into the series I was going to be happy with a split of the first two games because I like our chances with Harang and Arroyo in the last two games.

I hear ya. But what a way to respond after the thrashing we took last night. Speaks volumes for the resolve that this team has. Reminds me of the games in Milwaukee earlier this year when we got romped 11-0, then came back and won 11-0 the next night.
