Hatte giving the ump hell...

Now the dugout joins in...

Somebody needs to evaluate these umpires - if I did my job as poorly as they do, I'd get fired.

edabbs44

Piazza 2 HR off Pedro tonight...the only thing more ironic is if Clemens came in the 9th and speared him with a shard from a bat.

i think freel should have been ousted after that display of disgust...i dont think that should be tolerated, whetjher that was or was not a strike.....

that pitch was low

please....you got to let them know they missed the call. What did you expect him to say. "uh excuse me Mr. Umpire...the next time I am up to bat could you please re-evaluate the strike zone. In my humble opinion, I thought that pitch could of been low."

Cormier's pitching well.

Someone please explain to me why he's taking him out...

Honestly, I think its the LaRussa syndrome. When managing against him other managers tend to do the "one upsmanship" stuff. He uses a pitcher for just one batter, so I'll do the same, etc.

Boone got even more wacky when managing against the Supergenius.

Matt700wlw

Even before tonight, Bray had been allowing 1.59 baserunners per inning. I still lik ERA when it comes to starters, but with relievers I never look at ERA and alwasy look at WHIP as an indication of how effective a reliever is. Bray's ERA looks good, but he's allowed WAY too many baserunners to say he's been good since he's been here.
