MaineRed
08-09-2006, 06:36 PM
What a game between these two last time. I was driving to a vacation location, hoping to kill 3-4 hours listening to that game, killing time while driving. Instead the 1-0 gem by Harrang probably didn't go much more than 2.

Oh well, the win made up for those two hours I lost.

Me too, but as long as EE is in the lineup I'm not too disappointed with Clayton in there.

Baseball tonight just said they were going to show like the top 3 web gems in Cincy history. Going to have to "catch" that segment of the show.

Infield hit by Eckstein.

fisch11
08-09-2006, 07:13 PM
Eckstein infield single deep in the hole to Clayton. Almost made a nice play to get him but the throw was high.

killuminati35
08-09-2006, 07:13 PM
1st and 2nd nobody out. Duncan singles up the middle.

fisch11
08-09-2006, 07:13 PM
Duncan singles to center. Trouble brewing in the 1st. Pujols up...

killuminati35
08-09-2006, 07:14 PM
Where was that pitch?

killuminati35
08-09-2006, 07:15 PM
Clayton booted a weak groundball by Pujols.

Redlegs23

killuminati35
08-09-2006, 07:20 PM
Not good with Carpenter on the hill for the Cards.

If Clayton could make a play or two, this would be totally different.

keeganbrick
08-09-2006, 07:21 PM
Thank you Royce Clayton. If Castro was starting it would be 0-0. Harang's confidence is now shot, his ERA is shot, the game is shot. NARRON wake up, PLAY CASTRO.

wojo1025
08-09-2006, 07:27 PM
I'm sorry, but I blame LaRue as much as I do Clayton. I absolutely hate the way he calls games. I guess they run Harang out there with LaRue because they figure his good pitching will make up for LaRue's poor pitch selection. Anyway, enough of my rant, let's get the come back started

fisch11
08-09-2006, 07:27 PM
Taking the mound with a 4 run lead can let you be aggresive I guess.

killuminati35
08-09-2006, 07:28 PM
Carpenter looks sharp, Griffey Ks looking.

Why the hell does Larue get so much playing time anyway?

fisch11
08-09-2006, 07:28 PM
Carpenter has his back door breaking ball on.....not good.

fearofpopvol1
08-09-2006, 07:29 PM
You can blame Royce all you want. Yeah, he sucks and shouldn't have committed the error...but you can't give up a grand slam as Harrang. Not with Carp on the mound.

keeganbrick
08-09-2006, 07:30 PM
This pisses me off so bad. With Carpenter pitching our odds are horrible at even making a game out of this. We cant even get out of the first inning again because of bad defense. We traded Lopez so we could get an upgrade at defense but Narron continues to run Clayton out there every day. The only playing time Castro gets is replacing EE late in the game. This just gets so frustating....................

killuminati35
08-09-2006, 07:31 PM
Molina pops out to Freel. 1 out.

killuminati35
08-09-2006, 07:33 PM

keeganbrick
08-09-2006, 08:43 PM
Whoa, this game could get out of hand real quick here. Guess he was scared of all that chew in Duncan's mouth.

fisch11
08-09-2006, 08:43 PM
Ok, Harang has obviously lost his control because he walks Duncan on 4 pitches with Pujols on deck.

BUTLER REDSFAN
08-09-2006, 08:43 PM
is there at least 2 or 3 on every time pujols is up???

LetsGoReds11
08-09-2006, 08:51 PM
Harang Is Not Getting The Same Calls As Carpenter Has......It's Been Happening Pretty Much The Whole Night.......Not Good As Carpenter Is Beginning To Take Control He Could Possibly Go The Distance W/ The Cardinals Bullpen Beat Up

fisch11
08-09-2006, 08:59 PM
We have no business being in this game right now, especially against Carpenter. This team just isn't going to give in tonight!

MaineRed
08-09-2006, 09:05 PM
Is that you George Grande?

I can't stand Jim Edmonds, but I figured he'd probably run that down. He does everything else against the Reds.

08-09-2006, 09:06 PM
Tony Lar ...... I mean, Jerry Narron out for a pitching change.

LetsGoReds11
08-09-2006, 09:07 PM

killuminati35
08-09-2006, 09:09 PM
Weathers get Belliard to fly out to Dunn.

keeganbrick
08-09-2006, 09:10 PM

I'm Still Dumbfounded With Narron.....Cormeir Numbers Against Right Handers Are Better Then Against Left Handers......Why Does He Not Leave Him In There

A few reasons come to mind, Cormier pitched yesterday, there is a runner on, and maybe JN is looking at who is on deck too.

killuminati35
08-09-2006, 09:14 PM
I'm watching the game on FSN Midwest, becuase I live out of market. I'm so sick of hearing about how much of a home run park this is, everytime we're on TV. Get a new topic.

keeganbrick
08-09-2006, 09:14 PM
The bottom of this line up has to make the pitcher work more. I know its Carpenter and its tough when you fall behind but cmon guys, take a few pitches.

fisch11
08-09-2006, 09:15 PM
