We knew that before this inning. The guy just isn't that good. People have figured him out and he's lost confidence.

Sadly, we're forced to keep him in the rotation.

Hopefully, this inning makes it impossible for him to start tommorrow.

I don't understand. You use Weathers, Bray, coffey, Guardado, Mercker, Franklin, and Harang. You've got five choices left in your bullpen, even though you've used a starter--your ace--already and you go to EZ, who hasn't been able to get anyone out in a month. You leave Cromier in the bullpen. You allow EZ to load the bases and you allow Bray to allow three runs, but you pull Coffey after 1/3 inning. You walk the winning run to third.

And you expect to win?

I should have gone to bed. Now, I'll never get to sleep.

Narron has a superb record in 1-run games, the measure of a manager in my book...though I certainly disagree with him often, esp. starting Clayton. I look to the complete failure of Griffey and Dunn to deliver anything whatsoever as the reason for this loss. Dunn has looked overmatched at times, and against mediocre pitching. And if Griffey does not play well, I'll say it again, the Reds are toast.

Yep. Phillips almost got the DP when he let the ball drop the other night (was it last night?). If Aurilia drops it, there's a 6-3-5 DP at minimum and the potential, as you aptly stated, for a Triple Play. A DP would have been huge as it could have altered how Ramirez pitched to Rowand.

Yes, if Griffey doesn't come around, we're in huge trouble. And while he did well to get to that ball, I wish he hadn't missed. I just watched the report on the news and I thought Dunn gave up on the hit that gave the Phillies their first run. Maybe I'm mistaken, but it looked catchable.
