Boy, Freel has just looked terrible at the plate the last couple games. He just looks to have worn himself out again. I really don't know that this guy can be an everday player. He is probably better used 4 or 5 games a week. He is a lot more valuable when he is well rested.

Actually, it might be a little too early for that. Maybe just add a question mark at the end and make it "A contender is here?" Don't want to jump the gun, and don't want to pump too much sunshine... Some of the others don't appreciate the optomism.:D

How many times do you say 'its only one run! its only one game!' before you turn around and are 5 games out of a playoff spot.

Remember, we were at one point TWELVE GAMES over .500? Wow, I guess all those ''one game's'' added up huh?

What I don't understand is why even come on here to talk about the game if all your going to do is dog the Red's... especially when it's a 1-0 game... I realize the Red's havent exactly set the world on fire lately with their play, but who has?? We have a prime opportunity... Enjoy the ride, don't complain over every miscue... GO REDS!

How many did they score in the two games before that. I'm pretty sure that they average more than 1 run per game too. I know you were just stating the way you felt about this team, but arguing that one run is an insurmountable amount? How could you expect to have a leg to stand on with that one?

I'm not arguing its insurmontable, but it seems like every friggin game the past two weeks Reds pitching gives up more or one run in the first inning.

Its when they give up more than 1 you have to worry. One run ain't so bad. Especially given who is on the mound. Despite playing some below average baseball, this team is still in good position to make the playoffs. You have to be at least a little excited about that. This team hasn't been playing as well as it could. When they do, they will win some games.

Chris Welsh sure likes the guy. He said he thinks he as the stuff to be a #2 guy in the rotation saying Loshe was only 27 meaning his best days could be ahead of him, the hardest thrower in the rotation, and that he was pleasantly surprised by Loshe's changeup. The inability of this team's "big hitters" to even put a ball in play is inexcusable. KG needs to be moved down in the lineup.
