The most insignificant trade I can remember(a non Reds one albeit with a Reds flavor) was when the Rockies dealt Pokey(who they had just acquired from the Reds) to Boston for Scott Hatteberg.

Both players were then non-tendered by their new teams and became free agents within a few days. Of course, Hatty went on to Oakland and Pokey to Pittsburgh.

Guy Hoffman is the Chris Michulak look alike, good for plenty of starts with the Reds. Who can forget the tsunami that was created when the Reds obtained Jim Dickson from the Colt 45's. I still remember exactly where I was when Jim Duffalo was acquired.
