Jason Hirsch pitches for the Astros tonight.......the 20th time the Reds have faced a rookie pitcher this year.

They are 11-8 in the previous 19 match-ups.

That stat is surprising to me. I remember the Marmol's and such all season long seemingly limiting us to 4 hits and striking out about 9 and losing a whole lot of the time.

It feels like we have a worse record than that.

We should fare even better against Hirsh. He has appeared in two games this year and 9.1 innings. So, our scouting report should give us a good idea of what he is all about. Besides he hasn't exactly been lights out (6.75 ERA only 9 SO). Look for the W tonight! :)
