maybe not, but an obvious joke nontheless

Child abuse isn't something to be making jokes about.

reds44-- We could hijack this thread pretty quickly going back and forth, but IMO, my "joke" did not blur the line between an off-color comment and actually making light of child abuse. I think the word "backhand" implies almost a comical tone--sort of like b*((*& slap. Obviosuly you disagree. I guess we can leave it at that.

Hennessey only 51 pitches through 4. Call me crazy, but I see this working to the reds' advantage in the near future. Granted, this hinges on Milton's ability to stop the bleeding.

Jimmie Foxx...er....Ray Durham comes up, after only bashing an absolute rocket for a double.

Hard grounder to Rich, it skips off his glove. Borderline hit/error.

Peter Happy is the batter, a 2-run HR as the feather in his cap today. Muy feliz, indeed.

Milton is not getting the high strike. Well, that's because most of them have ended up in the bleachers, I suppose.

And he strikes out on a fine fastball. Milton's first good pitch of the game. One out.

Blind squirrel.

Godalmightly, this guy can't do anything right tonight.

Now looking at the old slug bunt. I am amused, because the first Reds game I remember Pete Rose almost killed the third baseman, Mike Schmidt? doing that.

Randy Winn, whose bobblehead night is in two weeks for those interested (Eric Milton?) is the batter. He's always seemed like one of those guys who is consistently above average despite the fact that I foolishly think he's garbage.

How's the Giants bullpen?

As someone who has watched more Giants games than Felipe Alou, it totally sucks. He depends on Mike Stanton and Armando Benitez, both of whom can't get anyone out. I recommmend you view last night's boxscore against the D-Bags.

Kevin Correia is the new pitcher.

I don't recall seeing this much luck for the Reds in about 7 years. Milty has actually gotten a few questionable strike calls tonight too.

Phillips looks like a mug on the 1-1.

Correia is going to get out of this inning, and I'm going to break something. He brings it, though, 96 mph on the fastballs. Good commentary on Phillips' wide stance. I note that Pujols also employs the wide stance/no stride maneuver. I used it and went 11-12 in my last softball tourney, so there.
