I love this line up because its different. Might not be better but it can be any worse than the past 3 games.

Todd Hollandsworth is going to explode this game. I say 2-5 with a 2 run hr. He's due to burst out because while he may be bad he is not as bad as he has played.

Every time you think they have done it all, they find a new way to blunder into an inning ending double play. Only the Reds would have only 1 run when a pitcher threw 4 IP has thrown 84 pitches, walked 5, given up 3 hits, and had an error by his team.

Just when you thought they might have turned the corner. That is the one thing that BP really needs to improve upon next year is his decision making on the base paths. He has to know that the pitchers spot is up next and at worst you turn the order over.

That is the smartest thing I have read tonight! Let the season be a positive one that the Reds are playing meaningful games at the end of August but don't push Homer into throwing more innings this season. This team is just a couple of starters from being a legit contender for the post season and if Bailey can really be a #1 and Harrang is your 2 and Arroyo 3 you can fill in 4 & 5 easier in the off season than going out and buying a front line pitcher.

Too many hits and even the outs recorded here well hit balls except for one. I would have pulled him after the doubles. The problem is this was easy to see coming. It has been a fun ride but our lack of key hitting is going to be our downfall. I truly have been optimistic up until now but we have turned good pitchers into great ones and average ones into studs.

Our guys truly do not believe in going the other way, giving themselves up and getting the run into position. It really is a shame but I just do not have faith with Michalak is your 5th starter. He really has nothing! Good guy, good story but total hack for pitcher.

He should have won at home against Houston but we are asking for too much out of him

People often compare this team to the 99 team. Well in 99 you had a guy by the name of Greg Vaughn who stepped up and was a vocal leader who could back it up. This team unfortunately doesn't have a Greg Vaughn.

IMO,

If Krivsky truly believes that Homer will put this team over the edge, then I say bring him up....

If not, let him dominate AA for the rest of the season.....

It's the offense right now that's failing the team.....

I think the real problem with this team is the same problem they've had for years...situational hitting. They had the best batting average with RISP in the majors for the month of August until this road trip. I think maybe it's time to take a look at what Chambliss is teaching....I don't know, maybe I'm reaching.

I agree man but what if homer comes in here and pitches maybe 8 innings or shutout baseball And our team scores and wins one for him that does say something! and another thing what if this team can hold up in wildcard And what happens at end of year at florida and pitt oh no that dreaded roadtrip could be bad there!

The team acts like they dont wanna play or something its embarrassing every night to play like this hopefully they will go on a tear like they did that one time..lose 4 straight and win 6 in a row or something but right now its very unlikely!

I still think Houston will rattle off a stretch where they win 15-16 out of 20 and pull away with it. They have the pitching and their hitting is due to get on a hot streak.
