I love that line up. Hopefully it will ignite the bats. It also can't hurt that we're facing Hendrickson.

The time is now to run off atleast 5 in a row and get us back home where we can cheer for our reds to make the play-offs! Go Reds! Im going for optimism tonight too...

KYRed

Like the lineup as well, Hatte needs something to stop the recent slide and hopefully rest helps. He's hitting .048 on the road trip.

The Marlins are up 6-1 in the 6th on STL. If that holds STL is 3 up on Cincy and FL is only 1.5 behind in the WC. And it's 9 straight for the Fish.

keeganbrick
08-29-2006, 10:03 PM
Reds must win this game tonight. If we fall out of the WC race I really dont want to think how fast it could go downhill. But I actually think we have about an 80% of victory tonight.

Hmm, that's 2 straight leadoff homers for Milton. Maybe we should have him start throwing an inning in the bullpen like Pedro used to. He just gets lit up early.

Eric Milton is a veteran pitcher. Veteran pitchers do not fold in big starts on a regular basis. Maybe Danny Graves words are stil echoing in his ears.

I would suspect that it is the same feeling that batters get when they stroll toward the box to face Eric Milton early in a game.

BP has shown some power in Cali. Unfortunate (but ironic) that the rest of the team has experienced a "power outage" in California.

Freel runs into the wall for the catch!! Another great play!

flynn78
08-29-2006, 10:51 PM
Freel is the real deal, but he can't keep up his style as an everyday player. I love what he brings, but he gets so beat up doing it.

redssouth
08-29-2006, 10:51 PM
Hopefully Milton can settle down and pitch to the ballpark. This is a flyball pitchers haven. Hopefully we can work some counts now, get some good pitches to hit, and put a big number on the board. Need this win.

Or after he's thrown 85 pitches, there's a little space in there where he's effective.

Yeah hes walking through the season. He had knee surgery rehabbed and came back and pitched and hes walking through the season. I echo Junior's sentiments What a horrible inning. Does anyone else have the feeling that the Dodgers will get at least a run this inning? I honestly think this inning is key. If the Dodgers get a couple of runs this inning, the Reds could be in trouble tonight.

But getting only 1 run here pretty much described why we're only a few games over .500. Seems we do that every game...
