I personally agree. If we don't stop this slide tonight, I'm packing it in and it's officially football season. If we win tonight, two day extended optimism. I am attending my last game on Labor day against the Giants.

Gotta get one tonight.

Did you notice he did not attempt to steal when Dunn or Griffey was batting?

I guess Narron wanted to keep the right side as open as possible. I don't agree with this. Why can't they hit the other way? Why are you resigning yourself to the fact that Dunn and Griffey are going to hit it to the right side everytime?

Does it matter safe or out? He's been doing this for years. I'm semi-ok with it earlier in the year since he could risk blowing out a hammy, but someone should let him know there is a playoff race going on around him.

Not routine, but I think many CFs would have had it. Freel would have been on it, but he may have pulled a Bump Bailey and went through the wall. It looked like he had a good shot at it. But it is just more fuel to the fire. He has been a subpar fielder all season and his hitting hasn't been very good either. Yet he is hitting 3rd and playing CF each night. I really think the FO is scared to move him. This was a major discussion on the board earlier this year and the board was split whether Jr refused to move or the FO wanted him to stay where he was. After watching JN pull the trigger on RA earlier this year (as his automatic cleanup guy) and now Royce, it boggles the mind how Jr has lasted so long where he is.

The way Wayne evaluates pitching, I'm very scared. It's really hit or miss.
I could see Wayne getting a kings ransom for Dunn or getting suckered.

I agree we should get a huge return. Another problem the Reds have is that their offense would really be bad if you subtract Dunn. It would be extremely expensive (if not impossible) to replace his production.

Add Griffey to that equation, even at his age. I almost laugh when I hear about Denorfia and Freel replacing Griffey. Yes, they'll catch a fly ball occasionally, but who's going to produce runs? It sure as heck ain't gonna be Deno or Freel.

Freel makes an error? No big deal. Griffey on reconstructed legs doesn't get to a ball he obviously thought was out. Criminal offense.
