Sunday special.

Go Bengals.

The only "Sunday Special" quality about it is that Ryan Freel is not starting, so both Norris Hopper and Chris Denorfia are starting against the LHP. (One of them would be starting anyway.)

So I wouldn't call it a "Sunday Special".

Apparently all the NL teams must of misplaced their notes on Arroyo because I thought, the league, "had figured him out."

Also, remember when Arroyo blasted the Pirates early in the year?

Wasn't there some talk from the Pirates about what they planned on doing to him the next time they faced him?

I think today was the next time.

REDS would be severely strapped offensively if this one goes to extra innings

Reds win 4-2!

71-72 one game under .500. Need to sweep the Padres in order to stay in the wildcard race. IMO.

"And this one belongs to the Reds." Great job pitching Arroyo to get the Win and SS with the save.

Nice effort and a great year from Bronson. Unlike a lot of these guys, he has picked up the pace down the stretch.

As you all know, Steve doesn't get to call the 9th very often. I loved his winning call (paraphrased)... "and that's a big win by the river!".

There is still life.

We're 1 game back of Philly and 2 back of San Fran.

We're 3 back in the loss column of San Diego, but we have 3 to play against them. We're 1 back of the Marlins, but still have 3 to play with them.

Keep rooting against the Cards also. A couple wins by us and a couple losses by them and we will be within striking distance.

I'm almost tempted to root for the Padres tonight....

I love it! We are still at a point where we just have to win series. Not sweep. Even beating SD 2 of 3 will be good. Especially considering 3 more series with Cubs and Pitt. I think we'll need to sweep one series, but didn't have to be this one. Great game Arroyo

Man, if we can get it done against SD, the WC is back to a five team race, including us. Wild Card is right.

They've both been around and pitching pretty well. I would like to see the offense return from wherever it's been.

Great game and great weather for a ballgame! Glad to get the win [even tho' I lost another beer bet with Chip]. Wore another Bugs Bunny t-shirt for good luck and it worked!

If Harang had stepped up, the Reds may be 73-69 right now, right in the thick of it, instead they have to make it a 5 team race again this critical series.

I agree. Few will say it, but Harang's really been a disappointment down the stretch.

Though he's not alone on that front.

I'll take a Padre loss. Send em to Cincy, reeling.

Plenty of time to root against the Giants.

This has really been one messed up year in Major League Baseball.

I like the chaos.
