Mmmm..... Freel back in CF. I guess Dwayne Wise just didn't cut it.;) What's happened to Denorfia? I thought he was supossed to take over RF after the Kearns trade? Is he too young and not scrappy enough?

I agree. I've ripped him, but he is better than that .180ish batting average would suggest.

Denorifa (granted in limited at bats) as looked completely lost this season.

Denorifa (granted in limited at bats) as looked completely lost this season.

I agree. Although I have only seen him in limited AB's he looks like a AAAA player to me. I hope I'm proven wrong. But I would like to see him play a few games in a row. It wouldn't hurt,IMO.

Mmmm..... Freel back in CF. I guess Dwayne Wise just didn't cut it.;) I think the only reason Freel didn't start was the 4 Ks from the previous outing against Peavy. Jerry got to observe first hand that Ks aren't the worst thing that can happen in an AB.

Denorifa (granted in limited at bats) as looked completely lost this season. His stock has fallen off the planet, in less than two months he has went from "his time" to being lower on the bench than Wise, Hopper and Hollandsworth.

Deno should get 5 or 6 starts at the end of the season if the Reds are truly out of it.It doesn't matter as long as Narron is in charge. When Denorfia drops lower than guys like Wise and Hopper, 5 or 6 games isn't going to make a difference. From Jerry's point of view, obviously he has seen nothing to justify running Denorfia out there (not just a slump or bad luck). Denorfia has been buried and whatever optimisim existed from the last two seasons has been left way behind. I would be shocked if he is on the opening day roster in 2007.
