Does anyone listen to WKYH in KY? WOW! They play the national anthem (spelled correct?) then they played Reds Broadcast High Lights from past years before the game starts. VERY COOL!!

09-26-2006, 09:26 PM
Belisle just upsets me. He's got this unbelievably sick curveball that he's never in his career been able to throw over the plate, and tonight it looks like he's scrapped it for a so-so slider. :bang:

Learn to throw the freaking curveball over the plate and we'd have a really good pitcher for next year.

mth123

I'm just saying it's nice to have guys that can bunt, run and put the ball in play on a consistent basis where you can move runners over and get runners in as opposed to swinging for the fences and giving up an out (Dunn) I do realize it's nice to have power, But, I like what im seeing tonight... Im really referring to Deno and Hopper... I just feel they're going to be solid, productive Major-leaguers....

Sure its nice to have guys who can do it. It becomes necessary with Clayton hitting #2. EE Ks. 5-1.

jesusfan

crazybob60
09-26-2006, 10:57 PM
Agree. He's been hit lucky, but I think we get him reasonably and need him badly.

I would say bring him back but don't be afraid to deal him away if the right deal comes along or if he just isn't cutting it. We need him to tell us flat out if he is hurt or not, I truly believe that that would have helped him tenfold this season if he would have just been straightforward about that, but hindsight is 20/20 and you know what a ballplayers mentality is.

jesusfan
09-26-2006, 10:57 PM
woo hoo! Pads with 2 on, 1 out... shew, dont strand them again!!

crazybob60
09-26-2006, 10:57 PM
Well that was two quick outs there...maybe we can get the last three as quickly as they got these first two.

mth123
09-26-2006, 10:58 PM
I think Weathers has had a good (not great) but good season... Era-3.61 Hitters only hitting .228 against him...

His BABIP was something like .240 when I last checked. If that normalizes he'll not look as good, but he is still a passable middle guy and shouldn't break the bank or demand a lot of years.

jesusfan
09-26-2006, 10:59 PM
wow.. Pinto owned us!

jesusfan
09-26-2006, 11:00 PM

I would love for the 5 games left to turn into 10 games left

5 games is a small enough sample where we could actually win 5 in a row and the cards lose all 5 or go 1-4 and we'd be right there, hopefully not with the Astros....

Well that was a HUGE win for the Reds and it appears that the Pads are coming on strong....Let's go Padres and our old boy Trevor Hoffman to close that one out....who would have thought we would have been saying that just 2-3 weeks ago when we were in those heated Wild Card and head to head battles against the Fathers.

Reds alumni Cameron and Hoffman helping us out.
