For Duke to have a 4.4 ERA after giving up just sixteen homers and 67 walks in 210+ innings- that's a lot of singles and doubles.

Point of comparison:

Cabrera and Sanchez duking it out for the "batting title", yet there really is no comparison to them as hitters. Cabrera is OPSing at 1.001, which is in the rarified air of Pujols, Berkman, Bonds, and Howard. Sanchez' OPS sits at .855, which is points behind our Richie (.856) and Adam (.858). Yet, he gets a standing O as if he's accomplished something with a high BA.

While in this particular case I don't have (such) a problem with this, using "sentiment" or "heart" instead of logic is a Narron M.O. that irks me.

With all due respect, the game *is* only in the 5th inning. Lot of baseball to be played, especially when one considers the Cards propensity for choking.

I think that's about the only thing anyone would find sexy about Aaron. ;)

Kullman and Maddux in their short tenure as co-GMs found better starting pitching than JimBo did during his whole decade here.
