Per Yahoo sports Dusty is history with the Cubs. Not a surprise. What would be even less of a surprise is that Giardi is not the Manager of the Cubs very soon.

Which one? Firing Dusty? Or hiring Girardi?

Andy McPhail also stepped down after the game last night. It will be a busy next couple of weeks for the Cubs.

Firing Dusty.if they were smart they would forget Girardi and pay Beinfest whatever he asks for.

Maybe. I fully expect the Cubs to make a bug push for Girardi though.

For the record, he wasn't fired, his contract just ran out. McFail quitting could be quite the boon for for the Cubs.

Except one guy named Bartman who ruined everything. He ruined a WS championship. He ruined the Dusty statue that was to be erected on Wayland. Darn him and his goat! :D

I caught the end of an interview on XM where I thought I heard that the Cubs job was Lou Pinella's if he wanted it. Any one else hear this? I may have heard it wrong.

I just hate it when a whole fan base is generalized. Every fanbase has idiots.

We don't need Dusty. We already have Narron. Six of one, half-dozen of the other.
