Bronson goes to Japan

I'm sure it hasn't been that long, but I can't recall the last time the Reds had a player on the MLB team that toured Japan after the season.

Bronson Arroyo will be on the squad this year, heading to the Far East for games Nov. 3-8.

I think Danny Graves was the last Red to be on this team.

Was Aaron Boone ever on it? Seems like I remember he might have been, but I could be badly mistaken....

I don't remember that, and I keep a pretty good eye on him. ;)

I know that last year he was asked but declined because the closing on his house was scheduled during that timeframe.

Graves went for sure. Four or five years ago.

I don't remember any other Reds going in recent years.

Yeah, these post season and preseason exhibition games really scare me (See WBC).

Larkin went one year, I think it was in his 2nd or 3rd year.

Also, Tomko went as well. Remember the story about Schilling telling him to pitch differently which kind of lead to his downfall.

Wasn't his downfall in Cincy also attributed to Brett not wanting to pitch inside? I cannot remember exactly, but thought this when I read this post.

Yeah, I think that was what he picked up from Schilling, I remember reading.
