Who is this guy? He was a bit old for the FSL last year (23), but you have to love the numbers he put up (48.2 IP, 33 H, 50 K, 13 BB, 2.22 ERA, 0.95 WHIP). Looks like he was the closer. Does he have decent stuff or just beating people with experience at this point? Injury history?

Granado has been around seemingly forever. I recall him pitching in Dayton, it had to be at least three years ago. Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but it's unintentional if so. Seems like that's how long it's been since I saw him there. He's a lefty if memory serves correct and he was a starter at first. Probably had injury history which set him back. Best I remember, he was never a top-notch prospect, even in the Reds' system, but at least a middling one, one who "could" be high-ceiling if all the cards fell right for him.

He was an original Reds signing out of Venezuela, then left and came back midyear as a free agent. He's not as old as he might seem because he's been pitching in the US since age 18 or so.

Judging by his numbers, he's not a hard thrower and tends to rely on finesse. Gives up a lot of hits, but doesn't walk too many.

Granado is playing with the Aguilas del Zulia in the Venezuelan Winter League.

His first start was not very good.
