Gary Gaetti was interviewed by the Houston Astros for the position of hitting coach with their AAA farm club in Round Rock. A bit odd since he was fired as hitting coach of the Astros just this past June. He can't coach the major leaguers, but he can apparently coach the players trying to get there.

Perhaps he was fired for a reason other than not doing his job well... and perhaps that problem has since been resolved?

I was told that his interview was more or less a courtesy interview. There is a chance he could get that job but it is said to be slim.

VERY TRUE!!! That guy could really play some 3B though. Freakin' rifle arm too.

I don't blame Gary Gaetti for the Astros' hitting woes. Adam Everett and Brad Ausmus are unsalvagable. Wily Tavares is close.

Ensberg was hurt (Gaetti helped him in '05).
