I don't remember how i found it today, but it's a breath of fresh air compared to what else is out there for talking Reds.

I was using cincinnati.com, but there are some real weiners and morons there. Esaskywhirl, and SoCalRedsFan are the leaders of a gay cult of bridge jumpers.

I won't be "voting for pedro", but there are some good perspectives here.

just messin pedro.

I agree REDblooded as I quit visting there back in the spring when I found this site. Still you'll see at least one of our trolls from over there is here too. That said, it's still 100 times better here.

Glad you found the board Redblooded! Welcome aboard.

I found Redszone in May of this year and have never gone back to the Cincinnati.com boards since.

One of the guys you mentioned was a pretty decent guy. The other one, (hint: a players name) was a complete wacko. He'd last about 4 posts here before he'd be banned for life.

Same story here. I got tired of explaining why Adam Dunn is a good player over on the mlb board.

I posted there for months untill you realize that they are almost entirely too dependent on the crack and not on the facts of baseball. I got into heated agruements for agreeing that Wily Mo should have been sent for Bronson. I got into heated agruements for defending Dunn.

Then I found here and realized.. There'd be no agruements but solid debates, each side with facts and at the end of the day, we'd both agree that we only want whats good for the Reds.:beerme:

haha, very good stuff. I myself got sick of explaing why signing Juan Pierre for almost 10 million per year at 5 years was a bad idea. After that, it turned into nothing but anti-krivsky talk, but with no answers. I almost started to LIKE Krivsky...........almost. LOL, and the best was Esasky calling out Paul Daugherty. Devoting a thread to Paul needing to come to the board and explain his opinions.

I'm guessing that's gay speak for what you really meant.

Be fruity and supple.

He said he wanted to get away from the gay cults, and you turn around and tell him to be fruitful?

REDblooded, I use to go by RedBloodedAmerican. So you might get some posters that think you are me. I'm sure they will figure it out in time.

Welcome to the board.

hey...you always have the Reds.com board...that is if you like to :bang:. I used to go there to read up on Reds news and hear what others are saying about the Reds, but it just became too unbearable.

Yes...i participated on the other boards for awhile too till finding this site.
This is a whole different ballgame.
I do have a question though.
Some of the posters # of posts are outrageously high.
Are these actual posts counts?
Example: The other day when reading the Awards thread...i noticed Vatican Plum was a newbie (joined sep 05 i think)...yet her post count is like 3000+.
Not singling her out because i have noticed several with into the thousands # of posts.
Are these actual posts because my 200 + looks mighty small right now?

Again great board and great fans !

Yep. The post counts are all real. Some members have stuck around since the beginning of Redszone in 2000. Others joined recently and are excellent additions.

Original thought and respectful posting styles are really appreciated around here. :)

I defend my post count. That's almost a year and a half, and in that time I had a) a job in which my entire purpose was to sit at a desk and stare at the internet for nine hours a day, and then b) no job at all. I also present to you c) Dan O'Brien was fired in that time. That day alone was like a 500+ post day for everybody.

Your posts will rack up if you get bored enough, don't worry.

I wasnt doubting you VP...I just thought maybe posts from other boards were counted or something to that affect.
