nothing eye opening or exactly ground breaking here. Some of the other teams had some interesting previews though

One of the better previews I've seen. Not overly optimistic or pessimistic.

I agree with RMR, this is a pretty good, balanced review. A couple of comments:

Quote from the review: ". . . the Reds have one of the most durable one-two combos atop any rotation; they just need help . . ." This made me laugh, I believe Howard Cosell would call this 'intuitively obvious even to the casual observer.' I guess the writer had to mention it, though.

Quote from the review: "Veteran Rheal Cormier is back as a lefty specialist . . ." As some one pointed out in another thread, this couldn't be further from the truth. Cormier is way better against righties, and Narron could get some (positive) use out of him if he didn't treat him like Shackleford.

Or better yet just trade him off and use Shackleford.

It's a new week, so I can say it again. I think it's unlikely Cormier pitches for the Reds this season. Check back with me next week.

Something I am curious about and maybe TC could answer this...over the offseason the Reds have made changes. They have a new hitting coach and a new Pitching coach...since being named would it be "Kosher" for those coaches to have any sort of contact with the players to sort of get to know them and give them an idea of where they are heading, etc?
