I know some people on this board were upset when he was putting up decent numbers for the Marlins last year after we traded him.

This spring:
42 ABs

Posted the impressive line of .095/.191/.095

Impressive

EDIT:

Somehow I posted this in the wrong thread. Sorry.

Lets see what he does in actual games before we start on "told you so" stuff.

And...I still would have rather seen him taking at bats then McCracken last year.

I don't call a line of

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG
101 269 34 61 12 2 13 46 116 22 65 1 1 .293 .431 .227

However, he would have played decent defense in rightfield.

He might not even make their team.

When did Cody Ross have 13 triples? And 46 homeruns? He'd be all world if he put up those numbers.

Woops, wow that botched up pretty bad. Sorry. I'll go edit that.

Then they will trade some squat for Deno ;)

I remember people being mystified about the whole Cody Ross thing, but I don't recall anyone being "upset" about it.

Cody hit a 2 run homer in his first AB this season in the 2nd inning today vs the Nationals.

So what? I think I could hit a home run against the Nats.

Florida has hit three today - Ross, Cabrera, and Jacobs.

I'm sorry for telling you guys. Please delete my post since it apparently has no worth in this thread.

Judging by your Rep points alot of your posts have no worth.

Someone better call Elias and tell them that HR didn't count.

Unlike a lot of people on internet message boards, rep points don't mean a whole lot to me. Neither do post counts.

I never thought a simple little fact about Cody hitting a HR would turn World War III.

No joke.

This post was uncalled for as well. The guy reported that Cody Ross went yard today in a CODY ROSS THREAD.

What is the problem?

I do believe it was a snarky reply to a snarky reply. Take it for what its worth but it doesn't matter.

On topic though...

Cody Ross has the chance to be a good player if he could get his contact at the plate down. His patience seems to be okay and he seems to have a very good idea of what pitches to lay off on, however he doesn't make consitent contact.

And I see the Ross also got a web gem for a sliding catch in the game.

I'm not saying that I'm upset that CR got away but that was a quick stay (1 AB wasn't it?) as a Red. Too bad we didn't get a little longer look at him. (shrug)
