Saw where Milwaukee released Balfour last Thursday. Good thing we kept him on our 40 man roster all last year! Also saw Dan Kolb was relased by the Pirates. Does he have anything left as a closer?

I still think Balfour will continue to make it back. He was only getting his velocity up to 88 or so in late January. With another year I think he'll be up to 92 or 93. With a nasty curve, he should be able to catch on next year. I think he knew he wasn't going to make the team this year.

Grant Balfour was not on the 40 man roster a single day of the regular season. He was on the 60 Day DL which does not take up a 40 Man slot.
