I don't think the Rocket would be enough of an impact on that rotation to make the difference...he will go to BOSTON.

Boston would have a crazy rotation if Clemens did go back there.

Josh Beckett
Tim Wakefield
Roger Clemens

People are thinking the same thing when the Reds bring in Santos to face Derek Lee and Aramis Ramirez. Relievers have the most volatility from year to year with regards to stats looking good one year, awful the next, good one year, awful the next. Rheal Cormier is a perfect example. Alot of it has to do with how relievers are used. This is one of my pet peeves with Narron, he's pretty inconsisten with how he uses pitchers out of the pen, and I think their numbers suffer for it.

Nah, NYY. With Pettitte there, and Torre, and more run support and Rivera to close for him? There's no one left from Roger's days in Boston except Wakefield, and I think he'd realize that even he'd probably be upstaged by the whole Matsuzaka media extravaganza.

BTW, if anyone's interested, Jon Lester made his first of a planned 4 rehab starts for the Greenville Drive last night, the A-ball team Gabe Kapler's managing, and the results were very encouraging.

Former college teammate of one Bill Bray. Let's hope some of that closer stuff rubbed off on Bray.
