I can't really blame Saarloos for the HR last night. He threw a pretty good pitch, Hudson just took him "oppo". He didn't try to pull it, he went with it and it carried over the wall. That's just good hitting (Are you reading this David Ross?).

I'm loving both of them thus far.

Milton, he makes everyone look good. ;)

I am already worried about how often Narron runs out a Santos, Coffey or Saarloss etc.

If nobody hits Santos then the Tigers, Rockies, Rangers, Brewers and Pirates would have kept him.

Was he strictly a starter with those teams or did he come out of the bullpen as well?

His first 3 seasons he was mainly a relief pitcher but also had 13 starts in 65 games.
His last 3 seasons he was mainly a starter.

Thanks for the info. Well it's possible something may have clicked with his return to the bullpen. But my guess is he will come back to earth eventually but he still has the chance to be a decent arm out of the pen for the rest of the year.

The only way Santos stays effective is limit his innings, keep his andrenaline pumping and his movement going.

Once he comes off that "high", his stuff sucks. A few good innings and thats all I want out of him.
