Narron's bullpen management leaves me just shaking my head. The offense needs to get it in gear so they can win in spite of him. I just don't know how they can win too many close games with him pulling moves like that all year.

Santos should have kept his 0.00 ERA if he really wanted to pitch a second inning.

Didn't EE pinch hit. Honestly, do you want Santos batting in that situation especially since EE almost hit the ball out of the park??

I agree, plus it made sense to bring Coffey in for a non-pressure situation, starting an inning out.
I was down there, and while I don't think it cost us the game, the plate umpire had some pitches that he would not call a strike against the Astros, but most of the time would for the Reds. It was maddening. And how on earth was that not a double play in the 8th?

He was pinch hit for in a close game. I don't criticize Narron for that.

Santos got to stay in for a second inning today and gave up a homerun.

I still don't get the infatuation with Victor Santos.
He will play to the back of his baseball card as the cliche goes.
I root for the guy, but don't get your hopes up. Just sayin'.
And all Brad Salmon and Jared Burton are doing is be effective. For Louisville. This is not a Coffey/Santos slam, rather a slam on the composition of this very old bullpen.
