Um...so what was in Creek's "Naked Women" thread? And how do we revive that vibe over here?

The Little Red Wagon.

He got a few shout outs (and subsequent chuckles) during a couple of broadcasts.

Can anyone come up with anything from the fastball.com days?

I think RFS was only 68 at that time...

His mind was a sharp as a steel trap back then.

I might have a copy of a few posts when I was doing POTM but that's about it.

Too bad the content isn't there.

There is a great post from Old Red Guard that I tried to track down where he entwined a great story about going to the corner tavern to get a bucket of beer for his da with other baseball stuff.

Tried to find it a couple years back but it had disappeared into the ether with a board turnover.

Subject: Cox Baseball Web Site

Thought you all would be interested in a new Web project by Cox. The site at
http://www.fastball.com/ was put together (in three weeks) by the Dayton
Daily News, WHIO Radio and TV in Dayton, the Access Atlanta online operation,
WSB Radio and TV in Atlanta, and the electronic news operation in West Palm
Beach, which supplies Prodigy and Brite with near-real-time sports. The
server is located in Alabama, so clearly this is a virtual project.

The site features batter-by-batter updates of every Major League team, just
about every stat you could possibly want, a RealAudio version of AP's
audiotext sports report, video interviews with players, trivia, archives,
photo galleries, server push, more than 1,000 AP baseball stories, WebChat
and bulletin boards. We even plan (cross your fingers) to have a reporter
file nearly live coverage, every half inning, of the three games this weekend
between the Reds and the Braves. Not surprisingly, we offer special in-depth
coverage of the Reds and Braves because Cox has properties in those cities
and because both teams are heading for the playoffs.
