Behind the scenese PICS of PNC Park and Reds vs Pirates: Part 1

Well, since the Redlegs are in town I figured I'd take the initiative to snap some pictures in order to share with you guys. I spent a while taking pictures in and around PNC Park as well as some shots of the Pittsburgh Skyline. I know a lot of you enjoyed the pictures that I posted from my experience on the grounds crew, so I think you will like these too.

Great, great pictures, GC. My son was at the game Friday night. Unfortunately, it wasn't very good, as you know. I missed when you moved to Pittsburgh. What is your position with the Pirates organization?

Yes the pictures. I think that you do really nice work with the shot selection etc. You know like some people advance with their talents and eventually have a gallery etc. I could see you getting there, plus you have unique shots of famous people.

Unbelieveable shots, thanks for sharing. The views there of the city, wow! I had heard all about them but honestly, these are by far the best shots I've seen of the ballpark.

Great Pics.

To Me PNC looks very similar to GABP. The glaring difference to me from the outside having not been to Pitts is the amazing view of the Pitts Skyline along with the river. Obviously it would have been impossible to have had that done with GABP short of OH taking part of KY.
Not to be too much of a Monday Morning QB, but I wonder what kind of view GABP would have if one of the other sites would have been chosen as the location?

Another great thing about PNC Park is the shops, restaurants, etc built into the exterior of the stadium. In the picture below, you can see what I mean. You can't see the individual signs for the shops, but the are there. It has an Outback Steakhouse built in that also has a very nice view from inside of left field. There is a Vincents pizza shop, Atrias (great place), Elliots Subs, and of course the team clothing store. That's describes the exterior. On the inside plaza level of the park, the amenities are so diverse and vast. There is such a huge selection of food inside the park...much more than I've experienced at GABP. Don't get me wrong, I love GABP and the Reds, but the Pirates Organization really did it right when building this place. I should make a thread about Comerica park as well. I have a lot pics from there as well.

Great pics, that's a beautiful park. My wife, son and I enjoyed our trip up there a few years back. Our only regret was that the fans weren't more pleasant.

Great game last night. I was able to take some more pictures...but then I realized that the one's I've already posted sum up what it's like around here. The one's I took last night were basically shots of the game from our seats.

There were quite a bit of Reds fans in the city as well...even ran into some nice guys after the game while at the bar next to the stadium.
