Who holds the Reds career record for sacrifice hits?
*Hint: It's not Adam Dunn.

If it's hits I'll venture that the majority of them played prior to 1930, the nature of the game and the Reds park pretty much dictates that that crew be cut from that era.

Flies?

Then I go with 1955 and Up, same reason as the above.

Trick Question.

There is not such thing as a "sacrifice hit".

I tripped up on the notion of a "sacrifice hit" too. What if you were to get a single and intentionally try for second in order to get in a run down to distract the fielders and give the runner on third a shot at scoring?

If it's SAC Flies I'll go with Johnny Bench. He used to get a ton of those.

If it's Sac Flies nobody will get the season leader.

Let me clarify. A Sacrifice Hit is also known as a sacrifice bunt.

Okay. I always just called it a sacrifice and left it at that.

How about a light hitting infielder from the 50's era, Roy McMillan? Roy seemd scrappy enough to bunt a lot...

Barry Larkin was the best Reds player I've seen at hitting the ball the other way to advance a runner. Great handler of the wood. Good guess, Nasty Boy.
