Milton was sent to DL today :beerme:

Per C trents blog

In all honesty he should go to the DL and he should probably retire. Because he is injured and will probably never be healthy again. People talk about how he used to throw in the mid 90s, and well he's never going to throw that hard again because of his knee. He doesn't even look the same as he used to when pitching and it's because he can't drive toward the plate like he used to. It's too bad but it's the truth.

Reds Fanatic
05-09-2007, 05:24 PM
A lot of people in last night's game thread thought he would be headed to the DL and they were right. Left elbow strain is the official injury they are listing for Milton.

Matt700wlw

Either that or they'll make another move before Sunday.

Bullpen could blow up again (which is likely) and somebody could be bye bye to make room for Burton......and then another starter could come up.

Should be interesting.

I kinda like this lineup. I figured that Freel would be getting the night off.

Hatteberg doen't have much speed, but he did a really good job of getting on base the last time he hit lead-off.

I really like Griffey and Dunn hitting back-to-back. It doesn't bother me that they are both lefties. (Just like it didn't bother Chuck Tanner to hit Dave Parker and Willie Stargell in the #3-4 spots for the Pirates back in the 70's.)

I think Dumatrait is scheduled to pitch tomorrow night for Louisville, so need to keep an eye on if he actually starts that game. Bailey should be pitching Saturday, with Livingston's scheduled start being Sunday for Louisville.

It's almost like we can expect a blow up, again, this way it will hit Krivsky over the head that he has to make a move.

The Reds starters must be burning. The bullpen messes them up constantly. Now EE has just completely messed up this start by Belisle. Guy is pitching well, but he needs to get four outs every inning that a ball is hit to third.

What a turnaround. Used to be that the starting pitching hurt the Reds game after game. Now the starters need to claim nonsupport.
