Hopefully they can keep sitting Hamilton at least a couple of times a week if they hope to get any kind of second half out of him. But since this isn't the BRM, continuing to hit Dunn 5th or 6th is a joke.

For those with a strong stomach...

The last time the REDS won in Chavez Ravine or beat the Dodgers was July 28, 2005. Brandon Claussen started and got the win (7IP, 4H, 1ER). The REDS won 6-1. Jason LaRue hit two HRs and accounted for 5 RBIs. It kept the REDS 20.5 GB of the 1st place Cardinals.

Can it get better than last year vs. the Dodgers? Well remember that just 1 win vs. the Dodgers this year will be better than 2006 (0-6 record, outscored 37-20).

Go REDS!

I love west coast night games. It reminds me of growing up when just about 20-25 games were televised, all away games, and the Dodger games were always on. I was allowed to stay up late. Good times.... It seemed Mario Soto always pitched good against the dodgers. I loved watching him perform the lost art of pitching inside.

So nice to see sending Edwin Encarnacion down provides playing time and protection for Adam Dunn by putting the feared bat of Juan Castro in the lineup. Why not just bat Arroyo 7th if you are going to bat Castro there.
