Jerry Narron would rather Norris Hopper and Jeff Conine receieve more atbats in a game than Adam Dunn? Wow. Jerry Narron continues to amaze me with his stupidity.

Good grief Narron. But outside of Dunn and Jr., that is one weak, weak, weak lineup, just an absymal collection of stiffs, outside of BP and Freel.

I like Hopper in the 2 hole since Hamilton is out. But is there any good reasoning why Conine is batting 5th?? It puts two righties back to back and Dunn should be there.

The one time his lefty-righty fetish would make sense and he botches it. Narron's the best.

Hopper should never bat above 7th, maybe 8th.

The lake-effect rain has cleared for now, the grounds crew is getting the field ready.

Hopefully lake Erie cooperates tonight

The grounds crew is working on home plate right now. Hope we get it in tonight. I certainly don't want a doubleheader tomorrow. Good thing I packed extra undies if we've got to play two. Jerry's talking to the grounds crew right now.

These lineups are unbelievable. I don't care that it's better than last night; it's still ridiculous. There's a difference between graciously accepting your shortcomings in the face of better talent -- but still showing up and fighting -- and drinking 18 shots of tequila and walking in front of a Mack truck.

Either Jerry doesn't believe that Junior and Dunn are his two best hitters or he doesn't understand that a lot of things have to go right for them to bat in the same inning.

Narron plays "not to lose". He's deathly afraid that the game will come down to some guy making an error or that Dunn won't come through with a guy on third (on the off chance the Reds actually get someone to third without a HR), so he does things like start Castro or bat Conine 4th. It just seems to me that he's decided who he's going sink or swim with and it's the "character" vet guys.

Krivsky has to take some of the blame for this too IMO as it is his roster picks that are enabling Narron to fulfill his vet fetish.

Depends on how serious it is. If he had what I had he's either in the bathroom, running to the bathroom or lying down in agony from the cramps. Unfortunately the cramps aren't alleviated by passing gas because you just can't take that chance unless you're in the bathroom. He's a lot bigger and stronger than I was but going to the bathroom that much really saps your strength. Hopefully he's getting IVs to replace the fluids he's losing. A big difference here is that he got treatment right away.

I like him, mainly cause we share the same birthday. ;)

He's inconsistant but that's not unusual for young pitchers - especially his first year starting full time. If he gives the Reds an ERA of about where it is now and about a .500 record, I'd take that any day of the week.

No problem. The 1914 Boston Braves came back from a 33-43 record and 15.5 games out of first place on July 19 to go 51-16 the rest of the way and win the pennant.

Do the REDS actually send hispanic players to Billings? I'd guess that they'd use the Venezuelan or Dominican rookie leagues and promote players to Dayton or Sarasota.
