If Narron uses Dunn to pinch-hit for Hopper, then the bench is spent. He could have used Moeller to PH for Hopper, since Moeller had to enter the game, anyway, but I think we would agree that Hopper is a better hitter than Moeller.

Actually, I am a big Weathers fan, but he showed last year that he is far more effective in one inning. The second inning is often a problem. I know he had three good innings last week, but usually he should pitch one.

Very true...but at this point, he is easily the best reliever on this team. So he is being used correctly.

Amen on that Flyer, Earl simply isn't going to be a 2.00 ERA guy forever. When Reds pitching gives up 2 in 9I, you thank your lucky stars.
