View Full Version : Very interesting sweep statistic on the braves...

im sure some of you heard this during the broadcast, but they said that the braves today were swept for the first time during a home series since 1990. :eek: does anyone else find that as shocking as i did? thats pretty amazing.

side note- the reds were the team that swept them at home in 90 as well.

I love it! Most of my friends are Braves fans so I'm going to bring this up when they start talking about the Redlegs when school starts.

Philly swept them at home earlier this year. Its just the first time the Reds have swept them since 90.

you're right, i just checked the schedule. they sure didn't make it sound like that on the braves broadcast. did anyone else here this?

The Reds have always had a lot of trouble with the Reds. It seemed like Glavine always found a way to beat us.

I never took it as the first time they'd been swept by any team. I heard them say it and took it as the first time the Reds had swept them in Atlanta. Clean out your ears!!!!

Back in the Day the Reds owned the Braves. I might be dreaming it but I think the Reds actually swept the season series once.

Lets see. The last time the reds swept the Braves in Atlanta, the reds won the world series. Where can I buy world series tickets. :D

I love it when the Braves lose. I only wish Skip Carey was still there to whine about it.
