"The Renteria-Garland near-miss indicates that blockbusters are indeed being discussed, and the rising interest in players such as Teixeira and Reds left fielder Adam Dunn is a further sign talks are intensifying.
The Braves and Angels are believed to be the most aggressive teams on Teixeira, with the Yankees, Red Sox and Giants on the periphery. The Yankees also might be pursuing Dunn, whom they could play at first base; the Reds scouted the Yankees' Class A Tampa affiliate Monday night"

They better get better than A level prospects if he's traded.

Hopefully the A level prospect is not the major part of the deal, if there will be a deal with the Yanks.

The team I hope they're scouting is Trenton.

Ian Kennedy http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Ian%20Kennedy&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=453178

Joba Chamberlain http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Joba%20Chamberlain&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=501955

Alan Horne http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Alan%20Horne&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=458951

I would hope we could get at least one of these guys.

Yankees won't trade Joba for Teixeira....Dunn is no Teixeira.

If we only get A prospects, I'm Dunn with Krivsky.

I would take Jose Tabata for Dunn straight up.

It said only that they were scouting the Class-A scouting facility. It probably means they have agreed on the other players and are looking at the A facility for the final prospect. I don't think a deal is imminent though.

Phil Hughes for Dunn :KoolAid:

I say, let's give them what they really want and package Dunn and Stormy in exchange for something we can really use. A major league-ready young arm (hughes?) and an A-AA prospect.

Joba Chamberlain and Ian Kennedy are one step closer to the majors. The pair of Yankees prospects learned on Monday that they are being promoted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre which overshadowed a fine performance by Trenton teammate Jason Jones.

I get the impression Krivsky is dead set on getting ML ready pitching for ML hitting. And I can't blame him. So don't be surprised on a lack luster starter and a high ceiling A level prospect and nothing more.

Dunn for Joba - contingent upon the Yanks signing Dunn to a LT contract (72 hours).

Didn't see this posted on either RedsZone board, but I think BP is saying there's a rumor that the Yankees are offering Shelley Duncan, Jeff Karstens and another prospect (I'd imagine not one of the top-flight pitching prospects they have) for Dunn.

If it were Joba Chamberlain or Ian Kennedy, that wouldn't be terrible. However, I would hope Wayne could get a little more than that for Dunn. It sounds like he is at least trying to get a mammoth return which is definately good.
