I'm tired of trying to understand the sin involved with Jr. and Dunn hitting back to back. It must be near demonic to write the batting order that way.

Freel's fast enough to score from 1st on a single with 2 outs, so there's no reason for him to attempt to steal here with Brandon up.

I'll say it now, there wasn't a more perfect time to use Moeller than just right there, when Ross hurt himself.

Better runner than Javy
Feels like he contributed offensively (after it's all said and done)

Perhaps about the 7th inning you could have used Javy to PH for...Moeller.

Really, Edwin has nobody to blame but himself for being removed via the double-switch. The pitcher's spot was scheduled to lead off the bottom of the inning, and Pete Mack has shown that he is reluctant to burn through the bullpen like Sherman through Georgia, so a double-switch was necessary. Valentin was the last hitter in the last inning, but with Ross already leaving the game with an injury, Mack didn't want to pull him for Moeller. Encarnacion was the next-to-last batter, so he is the "lucky" guy who was switched out. However, if he hadn't made the error on a routine ground ball by Fielder, it wouldn't have been necessary.

Mack would rather have 3 innings of his defense vs Dunn's instead of Dunn's one AB vs. Hopper's. With a 3-run lead, it's pretty logical.

But, he has no one to take over 3rd for EE, so he's sticking with Dunn. I'm sure he'd remove him if he could.

It's all irrelevant anyway as a week from today Dunn will probably be gone.
