The Cubs have another lefty going tomorrow, so they can give Griffey tomorrow's game off if he doesn't hit well tonight, then bring him back on Sunday vs. Zambrano.

I haven't heard anything about Gonzalez. I'm assuming that he still hasn't rejoined the club.

It could be a real struggle to get tonight's game in. It's been raining here nonstop for the last two hours or so, sometimes torrential rain, and the blob of green stuff is still extended pretty far west out into Indiana.

Don't know how your weather works there, but it looks like the Ohio splits the clouds as they reach Cincinnati, sending half of them South and half of them through Cincinnati, and in this case, the half that's going through Cincy ended, and all the rest will continue to go along the South side of the Ohio.

Rich Hill is a left-hander.

Ryan Freel's OPS this year against LH's is below .400.

Norris Hopper's is...I'm guessing here....above .750.

But, Freel starts, and Hopper's the better defender in Center.

But, Mackinen is 13-8 and that .615 % places him 5th all-time among REDS' managers and two of those were before 1890, and none in the last 57 years.
