Since every manager is so concerned with splitting up the lefties, then we need to address a RH cleanup hitter in the off season. Phillips is not going to get the job done(11G .208 2RBI in August), and no RH bat in the minors to help out either. EE has been a real disappointment so far(still have hope).
If we do get a RH bat in the off season, where do they play? Most teams try to get their RH bat from the outfield or 3rd base. Any suggestions?

Griffey bats third, Dunn clean up, Phillips 5th. That should be the lineup. Screw splitting lefties and righties

I agree, but it won't be possible in 2008 or 2009 to play Dunn, Griffey, Hamilton, Bruce, and Votto. So, who sits or who is gone? My guess would be Griffey. I just think the Reds need to replace some of their LH bats with a nice RH bat.

It may be that Griffey sits in 2008 in favor of Bruce. He may not like it , but 2008 should be his last year in Cincinnati.

I'm sure Bruce will start out in Louisville in 2008 maybe a mid-season call up if Griffey gets traded or gets hurt. I agree with AmarilloRed 2008 should be Griffey's last year in Cincy. So opening day 2009 will be when The Boss comes up.
