I predict this to be the single most neglected game thread ever.

It's that silly pigskin thing again, isn't it.

We seem to be approaching some sort of lineup stability. Other than switching catchers and pitchers, this lineup is the same as the last few days.

Last night the REDS bats looked awfully inconsistent against a Jeff Suppan who "looked" (looks can be deceiving) wild and very hittable.

Villanueva supposed to start today for Brewers. Kid can bring it, hopefully that heat will be more to the taste of our hitters.

There's a game?

Doesn't help that FSN is showing such spectacles as billiards and beach volleyball instead.
Then again, not sure I blame them. Gotta be cheaper.

I predict this to be the single most neglected game thread ever.

I think a few years ago a Josh Hall September start didn't even get a thread, just a recap post in the previous days game thread

EE has had all kinds of issues with IF pop ups this year. I'd love to hear from a scout what he's doing, because it's got to be mechanical. Dropping his back shoulder maybe?

Just seems like he's trying to kill the ball instead of just put good wood on it.

JaxRed

Even in a lost season, I am liking the Reds more than the Bengals. I am entirely unimpressed with the Bengals D.

What is the record for strikeouts in a 9 inning game? It seems implausible that Belisle will continue this pace, but I am curious.

mbgrayson

Hopper pops out to 1st.

Belisle's MO seems eerily similar to Dumatrait's: good stuff, but inconsistent control.

Justin Verlander, Jeremy Bonderman, Andrew Miller, Jair Jurrgens, Rick Porcello, Jordan Tata, Joel Zumaya. Wow. I definitely see them winning a World Series within the next two or three years.

OBM, I don't think you can count Porcello in that mix, the rest of the guys have at least thrown a pitch in the majors. Porcello hasn't thrown a pitch as a pro yet.
