With Girardi on the Fox TV call....

Maybe someone with some executive power will stop by and see him...

Honestly....why is he pitching?

2-0 Cubs as Cedeno homers.

Down 2-0 against a team sitting most of its starters.

This is hard to watch especially with all the Blue in the stands.

Matt700wlw

There's the runs for the game....looking at the lineup, the Reds aren't going to score any....unless Votto goes deep.

RBA

FOX went to the Phillies game. Why start with the Reds game, just to switch it after one inning?

TeamCasey

Still Reds here.

11 straight scoreless innings for the Reds offense

Matt700wlw

11 straight scoreless innings for the Reds offense

This happened last year around this time...couldn't score runs if you paid them.....

VR

Reds should have been allowed a mercy ruling and been allowed to hang em up a couple of weeks ago.

CTA513

Down 3-0 because the Reds couldn't turn a double play that would have ended the inning.

Its looking like both Arroyo and Harang will lose the final games they pitched in 2007.

Somebody tell Harang that he's pitching against the Cubs scrubs...

Rich Hill throwing a no hitter

That'd be appropriate....and salt for the wounds...

Matt700wlw

For those listening to the TV...does Girardi have anything interesting to say?

CTA513

After 4 innings the Reds are still down 4-0

Hill: 4 Innings, 0 Hits, 0 Runs, 0 BB, 3 K

What an ugly end of the season.

Hopefully it will bring more focus to acquiring talent for next year...as opposed to viewing the Shearns/Hoppers/Salmons as good enough to get it done.

If 90 losses is getting it done...than that'd be getting it done.

Maybe this offseason, they'll realize that.

Marty discussing the manager situation...

There aren't many jobs open....the Reds and the Royals are about it, right now....possibly Pittsburgh opens up....

Things change, obviously....

Where would you rather go? I'd rather go to Cincinnati than the other two.

11 Ks for Harang today and that ties last seasons career high at 216 Ks.

I guess that's something...

Doubtfull. It is all about the Reds young players fillling in holes mostly outside possibly looking aquire a closer or starting pitcher if the ability arises. I don't expect much. Gotta hope the youngsters deliver.

Phillips quote was quite telling.

5 months until Spring Training...

Matt700wlw

This date in 1990...the Reds clinch the NL West during a rain delay, as the Giants beat the Dodgers...

The rest, as they say...is history.

Harang after 125 pitches: 8 Innings, 9 Hits, 4 Runs, 0 BB, 13 K

The 13 Ks is the most hes had in one game and he set a career high with 218 Ks this season.

Might be nice if the “Big One”, WLW never let it rest this off season that the Reds need pitching. psst psst Hint Hint ! :)

I think we can do that :)

Most likely, after Sunday, the Reds talk will probably take a much needed breather...at least for now.

However, it won't be too long, I wouldn't think, that the Reds announce their new manager...and of course, after completion of the WS, the Hot Stove League program starts up on Wednesay nights...

Unbelievable.

They may not score a run tomorrow, either

Ouch. I just checked the prediction thread and I went with 79 wins. What was I thinking.

Just got back from the game. Wow. What a travisty of justice on the ballfield.

The Reds definatley mailed it in today.

The worse part was the hordes of Cubs fans. It was a sea of blue out there. Errrrcchhh.

Still, it was a day at the ballpark and a nice weather one at that. Beats mowing grass.

I'm already anxious for opening day 2008.

Same thing I was, I should have stuck with 72-90 like I did in 04 and 05
