Didn't Jim Bowden very-super-briefly bring Hideki Irabu in on a minor league contract, and was shortly waived after spring training one year? If so, I believe you have your 'I', my friend. If not, one of the fighting Irwin brothers that played in the late 1800s should suffice; my personal favorite was "Wild Bill" Irwin.

For X, you might have to go the route of Xavier Hernandez

I used to watch "Wild Bill" Irwin wrestle the Von Erichs on Saturday nights.:p:

THAT "Wild Bill" Irwin was alright, but he was no Gino Hernandez. Or Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy for that matter. ;)
