I heard Mo talking about a trade that would send Marvin to the Ravens for some Draft picks. Did anyone else hear this?

I heard it this morning too and would love it. It would be interesting to see what they could actually get for Marvin. I would guess not much. Maybe one pick around the 3rd round. I can't imagine him being worth more than that. Or can I imagine this actually happening.

Let Marvin go to Baltimore.

It would be the best thing for his career, but not necessarily the Bengals.

Sounds like idle speculation on the part of the reporter to me.

C'mon man, you know Z-fly and Mo.

They always got the low-down and the scuttlebutt and the what-say-you.

Who is Mo?

Sorry, I was talking about Mo from 1530. I will be more clear next time.

I don't think I would do this deal for less than a 1st Rounder. I would also agree that is seems more like speculation on the reporters part.

Yeah, as if Mike Brown is actually going to trade Marvin to Baltimore. Keep dreaming...

It's called speculation from a baltimore writer.

I love how someone reads someone speculating and it's now called a rumor.

This is just stupid. No way this happens.

I tend to agree with you. More wishful thinking maybe by some media pundit from Baltimore.

I'd gladly take the draft pick, as long as its the first rounder from this year.(8th overall). Two picks back to back.

You're correct. But, I kinda' wish it would. :)

Wishful for him only. Most of his readers comments agree with many, many Bengal fans. Marvin Lewis going to Baltimore for free would be absolutely perfect for me. Let him take control of another team in our division and that's one less team to worry about. I would love this move.

No way im trading a coach.

Any coach? Or just Marvin?

Marvin has lost the team. I'd trade him him for any draft pick from Baltimore. He's not a good in-game coach.

Right now on 1530, Cutler is talking about trading Marvin for 2 first-round draft picks. He's asking if anyone would do it. That's a no-brainer. I don't think there's a chance of that happening, but maybe Baltimore is sick of losing games to the Marvin and the Bengals??

Could we just change the title of this thread? It's not a rumor- it's an idea proposed by a sports columnist.

This isn't a rumor, its speculation from a Baltimore beat writer suggesting the Ravens should hire Lewis.

If it came from Steve Bisciotti or Ozzie Newsome, it might carry more credence.

Even then, as much as I would love to have two picks back to back, there is no way the Bengals, as incompetent as Mike Brown is, are going to let a head coach leave for a team within the division.

Are you saying that Mike Brown isn't foolish enough to trade Marvin to a team within the division or are you saying that he's not smart enough to trade Marvin for another first round pick?

Mike Brown is a very smart man. Went to Dartmouth and I believe he has a law degree. There's a difference between being stupid and being stubborn. Brown is stubborn, which I think he gets from his old man. I would say he isn't likely to send Marvin to the Ravens mainly because he probably isn't too keen on having Marvin in the division if he goes to another team.

Rumor makes it sound like there is at least some inside source tied to it. This is just idle speculation from a reporter.

Stupid vs. stubborn is worth debating. Not trading down with the New Orleans Saints in 1999 to select Akili Smith instead was stupid...not stubborn. :p:

Show me some proof hes lost the team besides wild stupid speculation from Alan Cutler who says things just to get listeners to his horrible radio show
