I thought he couldn't play special teams

That was just for the Bungles.

Once a player goes to New England he becomes something similar to a communist worker bee ... the good of the hive and all that.

He has about 20+ million reasons to play special teams now.

Sorta. He was signed to pretty much a 1 year contract even though it is said to me 4 years or something. The Pats will restructure or cut him before next year.

He has bought into the system there though.

This is true. The contract was basically designed so that if he didn't have a big breakout year, he would be cut, but if he did, the Patriots would have to pay a good chunk of change to keep him in New England. The Patriots will owe Washington a $4M bonus if they don't cut him, and Washington hasn't show that he's worth anything near that much.
